Mixing & Mingling

cocktails and consigScattered throughout my blog are posts that feature consignment finds. To me, consignment shopping is a fiscally responsible and economic way to build your wardrobe without dropping a ton of money. On the flip side, there is a monetary incentive to purge that closet! Yes, consignment stores can be overwhelming and you must be in the right frame of mind (and mood) to riffle through racks and stacks. But every now and then, a hidden gem will be uncovered. When the opportunity to host an event with one of my favorite local businesses came my way, I jumped at it. The business I am referring to is Closet Connection located right in South Boston. We both share the same mission: fashion does not have to come with a hefty price tag. So collaborating on this event was the perfect match. Not to mention, I frequently shop and consign here too! The night was filled with lots of chatter, yummy cocktails, pretzel crisps (thank you, GiGi!) and event only discounts! Not to mention, a sparkly necklace and $15 store credit were up for grabs (Congrats Jenna M and Alison H!). I met many lovely ladies that night and it was great seeing everyone supporting this event #shoplocal. A big thank you to everyone who stopped by and  an even bigger thanks to CC for working with me to make this event happen!

A quick mention about my outfit! The skirt and necklace are two of my fave finds at CC. The chambray came straight off the clearance rack at Marshalls. I was all about mixing some prints for a night of mingling. In the spirit of the event, this was a very budget friendly outfit!
