When the Peter Pilotto for Target collabo dropped, I was still vacationing in Cali. And with a flight to catch that Sunday morning, there was no way I was making my way to any Target. So after coming home from a night out in LA that Saturday night, I quickly checked Target.com to see if any of the items were available. After a few tries, I managed to finagle two items into my shopping cart; this skirt being one of the items. Lucky for me, I had a runner back in Boston so I was able to score a few more items, yay! Which means that this will be the first installment in a series of posts dedicated to this collaboration.
The marrying of bright colors, stripes and florals on this skirt creates a gorgeous print. I love color and print, so this skirt was a match made in heaven! Not to mention the pencil silhouette and vertical stripes makes this piece pretty flattering. I opted to go all black for the remainder of outfit to let the skirt take center stage. Couldn't head off to work without adding a hit of sparkle, brought to you by my newest bauble.

Booties: Tory Burch, $190. This was a Christmas present to myself two years ago. Although a bit of a splurge, I did wait until it went on sale and saved over 50% off the original price. Worth the purchase since it has survived two winters already! As an alternative at a lower price point, I'm digging these Nine West wedge booties from Macy's, $69.50 (sale); additional sizes at Nine West, $52.49 (sale). These Seychelles from Piperlime fit the bill as well, $64.97.
