I don't know about you, but losing an hour to daylight savings has really got me all out of sorts. Getting out of bed these past few mornings have been majorly difficult and the darkness is not helping the cause. Getting dressed for work is nearly an impossible feat. I should get better at laying out my clothes the night before. At least this way, it would spare me the few minutes of mental anguish I go through trying to put something decent together. Not having a single ounce of creativity inside me, I settled for a tried and true work formula: a dress shirt and pants. What I thought was a fail proof outfit didn't sit well with me. In a white dress shirt and black pants, I looked more like a restaurant garcon than a working professional. With minimal time to get out the door, putting together another ensemble else was not an option. Instead, I grabbed a few accessories and turned this outfit around. A tied scarf, sparkly flats and emerald clutch gave this look a bit more personality, or at least I hope it did!

Scarf: A good friend of mine gave me this beautiful scarf she bought on a trip to Italy. Ann Taylor has some beautiful printed scarves.

Dress Shirt: Custom made in Hong Kong. When I traveled to HK about a year and a half ago, getting a few custom made shirts was on my list of to-do's. I have a hard time finding dress shirts that fit well so this is one of my faves. I even sprung for the monogramed cuff.
