That's a Wrap

banana republic_marshallsI don't know about you, but getting dressed for work these days have been pretty tough. It's been so hot out that the thought of wearing layers makes me sweat. But once I get into office, it's so cold that I wish I had brought a sweater with me! How many more times do I have to wear my tired blue pashmina that is in my cube for times when it's unbearably cold, which is almost everyday.

On a recent trip to the outlets, I picked up a few new work items and in that pile was this wrap dress. Not only is it a waist cincher (yay!), but the lightweight jersey material doesn't trap my body heat and the sleeves and skirt length keep me from freezing to death at work. Now, my pashmina can be used as a blanket for my legs, tucked underneath my desk, where nobody has to lay eyes on it. With a backdrop of black and white, I had to add a pop of color and played up the gold hardware of my dress with gold accessories and peep-toe heels! It's finally that time of year to let your toes peep (thankful for my pedicure!).

Outfit Details:

Wrap Dress: Banana Republic Outlet, $17.50. That's right, I only paid that much! The outlet was having a ridiculous sale and of course, I had a coupon. A few options here: 1) Calvin Klein navy and white striped wrap dress, $79, 2) Old Navy black wrap dress, $20. Use code STUFFSAVE with your ON, Gap or BR card and save an additional 30% off thru 7/17 bringing the cost to $14! Check out other available solid colors and prints at the same low price, and 3) Gap bright cobalt wrap dress, $43.99. Use code GAPSPREE thru 7/17 and save an additional 25% making the final cost of the dress $32.99.

Bubble Necklace: I purchased this necklace a few years back from a great boutique in Woodstock, VT. Sadly, it has gone out of business. For a similar look, try this Pim & Larkin beaded gems necklace from Piperlime, $48. On Tuesdays, you save 10% ($43 and free shipping both ways).

Initial Charm Bracelet: This was a gift from a bride the year I was in her wedding. Each bridesmaid received the same bracelet with our initial as the charm. I found out from the bride that she ordered it through a company called Jo Jo Loves You. The bracelet is still available for $50.

Rings: The bow ring was purchased at a street market in NYC for $10. I love the outdoor markets! Forever21 has a great assortment of bow rings for as low as $2.80. For that price, you can buy them all! Trio of gold stackable rings by Gorjana-Griffin from Rue La La, $29.90 (available right now on RueLaLa thru 7/18, 11AM EST). Bauble bar carries twist ring trio in lilacmint and tangelo at $28 a set (free shipping both ways). Each set contains one gold band.

Silver/Gold Open Toe Pumps: Marshalls (brand: Enzo Anglioni), $20 on clearance. Gotta love the clearance racks for the great finds! Love these INC metallic peeptoe from Macy's on sale for $$38.95. Macy's always has coupons so keep an eye out for one to make this pair cost even less.
