Food Fight!
Who: Emily R.Spotted: West Bridge vs. Hungry Mother Food Fight hosted at Lincoln Tavern & Restaurant Resident of: Boston, MA Age: Thirty-Something Occupation: Sr. Manager of Culinary Arts Events for Share Our Strength
I attended the first in a series of four Food Fights. The events are hosted by the not for profit organization Share Our Strength, whose mission is to end childhood hunger. This was an amazing event and a great way to support a very important cause. Not to mention, the food was beyond delicious. The food challenge that night was Southeast Asian Street Food. Both chefs got very creative in what they cooked up. West Bridge made these amazing meatballs with mushrooms and string beans while Hungry Mother cooked up some shredded pork rolled up with a thin egg pancake and piece of lettuce. My vote went to West Bridge but the winner of the night was Hungry Mother. Lincoln also doled out some great apps as well. Specialty drinks were also being served at the bar. I am looking forward to the next food fight and will definitely be there (Lincoln Tavern v. Myers & Chang). You can catch the winner of each Food Fight amongst other Boston chefs and mixologists at the Taste of the Nation Event in April 2014.
Outfit Details: Emily is a mix-master. Love how she mixed the different prints and high/low priced pieces. The pieces are versatile and can be re-mixed with other pieces in her wardrobe.
Striped Knit Dress: Nicole Miller, $300. Ok, so most would say that this is not a budget friendly dress. Emily agreed. BUT if she promises to keep wearing it, then the price per wear will decrease.
