Warm Me Up, Jacquard
Yes, I was bummed when Summer came to an end. BUT I have to say, Fall is my fave season when it comes to fashion. However, early Fall can be a bit tricky over here in New England. Our mornings can start off cold but warm up nicely by the afternoon, which means outfit planning can be somewhat problematic. Unless your closet is well stocked with lightweight coats.
Last weekend, I quickly popped into H&M to make a return. En route to the registers, I passed the massive sale racks. Out of the corner of my eye, a beautiful coat caught my attention. I stopped, checked the size (it was my size!) and saw the sale price ($20!). The stars were aligned and it had to be mine. I mean, the zipper details were an added bonus! Did you know that now thru December, if you bring in clothes to donate (minimum 3 pieces) you automatically save an additional 15% off your purchase? I remembered this from my last trip and made sure to bring a few pieces of gently worn items to donate. Anywho. This jacquard coat has been my go-to as of late. It's perfect for the chilly mornings, which I generally ditch by the afternoon, and perfect for the ride home. Check the end of the post for other light weight coats that I'm loving from H&M.
Outfit Details:
Sunglasses: Oliver Peoples (braverman), old. I purchased these a few years back at a sample sale in NYC. But here's a similar pair at a budget friendly price point from Forever21, $5.90.
Blouse: Greylin, old. I found a pretty close dupe from Forever21, $12.99.
Jacquard Coat: H&M, $29.99 (originally $99). I actually found mine in-store for $20!
Pants: Loft. I bought this pair online from the sale section earlier this year. However, the closest I could find at Loft is this cropped pair, $69.50 plus 40% off with code FALLFEST.
Mini Pashli: 3.1Phillip Lim via Nordstrom half yearly sale, $509.98 (originally $850). Yes, even though it was on sale, this may not be so budget friendly. But don't fret, Forever21 has a great dupe in black, tan and wine for $24.90.
Shoes: c/o M.Gemi (penna). Don't forget, use code linda201 (lowercase L) to save $40 of this pair or any first purchase you make! I found an amazing dupe from Sole Society for $69.95.
