Work & Play

Dress or Skirt? Those tend to be my choices in the morning as I am getting dressed for work, especially with the warmer weather finally upon us. But on days where I have a meeting or presentation to an executive-type audience, I try to stick with classic business attire. A black suit usually does the trick, but only after I apply a few tweaks of my own. I swapped out my heavier blazer for one that is lightweight, complete with 3/4 length sleeves and an open front. When paired with skinny ankle length pants, I have the perfect warm weather suit. With an all black canvas, it's easy to add a pop of color or a punch of print to kick it up a notch. Forget the predictable button down! And when 5PM rolls around, I can ditch the blazer, head out for dinner / drinks without looking like I just left the office.  This short-sleeved woven top is perfect for the work to play transition. I'm already thinking ahead of other ways to style this top: black shorts, skinny jeans or a skirt. Based on how much I shelled out for this top, I've already worn my money's worth. How else would you recommend wearing this top?
