What's In My Closet

Not sure if I mentioned, but Dan and I closed on our house in September! We are undergoing major renovations and will move sometime in April BECAUSE I will be going to India in January for 3 months (for work). I know. Crazy, right? So between construction, the holidays and packing for India before stowing away all of my warm-weather wardrobe, I need to start packing up my belongs for the big move. First stop: my closet. The first haul already made its way to goodwill, with a second haul awaiting its fate at the consignment shop. As I dug deep into my closet, I rediscovered a few items that I actually forgot I owned. Exhibit A: gray suede boots. I bought them a few years ago in Freiburg, Germany. I remember, they were on sale too. Exhibit B: Alexander McQueen scarf. Dan got this for me as a Christmas gift early on in our relationship which happen to coincide with my skull and crossbones phase. To make darn sure I wanted to keep these items, I test-drove them, along with my new utility top, on my brunch date with Laura and Mo. We chitted and we chatted over coffee (tea for Mo) and corned beef hash (x3) at Steel And Rye. Have you been? It's a must; add it to your list! Oh, and the verdict on the scarf and boots? KEEPERS!
