Softee
When visiting another city/country, I love finding shops and boutiques that I can't find at home. It's a great way to justify shopping while on vacation, especially if the sales tax is higher than home: But Dan, I won't be able to find this in Boston! While strolling through Hayes Valley in San Francisco, I walked by a store that boasted of absurdly soft shirts. I was intrigued. So of course, I made Dan and our tour guide (bossman behind broquet, Max) stop in with me. As we walked into Marine Layer I started running my hands over the different stacks of t-shirts to test out the softness. They weren't kidding! I'm a jeans and tee kinda girl, so this was my kind of store. I obviously found my way to the sale section and picked this super soft stripe muscle tee right off the rack. A little souvenir, if you will.
Returning to the East Coast was really challenging. It was cold and rainy when we touched down at Logan Airport. The time change did a number on me. I had a hard time falling asleep at night and could barely get up when the alarm went off at 6:15 AM. Thankfully, we were greeted with warm temps and sunshine on our first weekend back in Beantown, which got me feeling a bit nostalgic for the West Coast. So I decided to go for a laid back Cali vibe with my weekend wear, which was perfect for an afternoon of strolling through the city with some friends. I think I am fully recovered and am back in the swing of things
Are you heading anywhere fun for vaca? Please share and make me jealous :)
