Reduce, Recycle, Reuse
I am a big fan of consignment shopping. It's a fiscally responsible and economic way to build your wardrobe without spending a lot of money. Going into a consignment store can be overwhelming and you gotta be in the right mood to riffle through racks to find that hidden gem. For my local readers, my favorite consignment store is Closet Connection located right in South Boston. The store is neatly organized and the owners are super nice and has a no-pressure sales approach. This definitely makes the shopping experience a lot less overwhelming. The best part is, if you have an account it's like getting new duds for free!
On a recent trip passing through downtown Andover, MA, I made a quick stop into a store called Chic Consignment. This was one of the best consignment stores I have visited. When I walked in, I didn't feel like I was at a second hand store. It was so neatly organized with great displays, which made me feel like I was in an upscale boutique. That is where I scored my Michael Kors wrap dress that I ended up wearing to work today.
Do you have a favorite consignment store to recommend?
