Radiant Orchid & Lace

When Pantone announced that Radiant Orchid is the color of the year 2014, I was indifferent. I mean, in 2013 when it was Emerald Green, I was way more excited about the bold rich jewel tone. Be that as it may, I do own pieces in this hue so I decided to give a nod to the Color of the Year with this outfit. Taking full advantage of the warm Cali weather (this is the last West Coast vaca post, I swear!), I finally broke out this beautifully detailed lace top to clothe my upper half. This was my 'lunching at the Ivy while sipping champs' look. And no, there were no celebrity sightings that day. Although our friend was convinced I walked into Pierce Morgan. Anyhow, what are your thoughts on this color? Outfit Details:

Mirrored Aviators: Ray-Ban from Piperlime, $93. These retail on Piperlime for $160, took advantage of a promotion and saved 20%. I then applied my rewards I earned from my BR card. Lace Top: Isabel Marant for H&M, $99.00. My bestie gave this to me for Christmas! I had the hardest time locating this top but she miraculously found one and held onto it until the holidays. Pave Stone Link Bracelet: Target, $19.99.

Skinny Jeans: Buffalo David Bitton from Rue La La, $50-ish. I am not quite sure at what point in time I purchased these but I am positive I got them during a denim sale. Gold Strap Sandals: Dolce Vita from Piperlime. These have survived a few Spring/Summer seasons already and was purchased on super sale. I actually ditched them after this vacation; time for new ones! I found a similarly styled pair also on Piperlime: Steven by Steve Madden, $69.99 (sale).
