Pear-don Me
What could have been an ordinary gray sweater is now a fun and whimsical statement piece, thanks to this bright pear pattern (genius, J.Crew!). I am a big fan of graphic patterns and embellishments on simple pieces so you can imagine how happy I was when I unwrapped this gift.
On a day of running errands in the cold New England weather, I needed to layer up. Given that the sweater has a simple neckline, I punched it up a notch with a collared striped button down. It's also a simple way to add a small dose of pattern, while keeping warm! It's a double win when I can pair fashion with function. A mixed media necklace added a nice layer of bling around my neck. As for the rest of my outfit? Why, a pair of skinnies tucked into my boots, of course! (p.s. this was the day I started the wedding registry!).

Sunglasses: Warby Parker (Sinclair in Midnight Blue), Gift. This is my fave pair of WPs I own. Most glasses and sunglasses are $95. The Sinclair is only available in optical but you could inquire about getting them as sunglasses.
Deco Strand Necklace: Bauble Bar, $38. Lucky for me, this was a belated bday pressie.
Denim Cheetah Clutch: Rebecca Minkoff (M.A.C clutch) from Saks Off the 5th, $85. This was quite a steal! I found it hidden in a pile of other designer bags. On top of the markdown, the store was doling out 40% and I used my AAA card for an additional discount. I had to bring it home with me. I did a search for this bag and it is sold out on sites, such as Bluefly and Nordstrom. However, I was recently at the Saks Off the 5th at Wrentham and my friend picked up the same bag!
