Party Like It's 1999

In 1999, I was a senior in high school. My memory is a bit fuzzy but I am sure my girlfriends and I hung out at someone's basement on NYE, watched the ball drop and then all drove home shortly thereafter. Yes, very tame. Flash forward 15 years later (say whaaattt?) and I am celebrating NYE in very much the same way with a few upgrades. Instead of someone's basement, we were at our friends' beautiful home. Turned in our sparkly tops for PJs. A home cooked meal complete with mac&cheese, chili and cake balls (thanks Ashley!) are many steps up from pizza and cheez-its. And to be honest, as low key as our evening sounds, it was exactly how I wanted to spend my NYE. We did get a bit rowdy anytime T. Swift came on. How could you not sing along to Blank Space? Even one of the hubby's joined in on that (don't worry, I won't reveal your identity). How did you spend your NYE? Did you paint the town red or spend the night in?
