Two weekends ago, Dan and I took a mini-trip to New York. On this particular trip, Dan and I parted ways. He to the UES and I to Brooklyn. But each night, we would gather with our friends for dinner. We kicked off the weekend on a high note with dinner at Birds & Bubbles. I couldn't join in on the bucket of fried chicken fun (oh, Lent), but the sides were ah-mazing! So here goes a quick re-cap of key highlights from my weekend.

Saturday A.M was brunch at Martha in Fort Greene, Brooklyn with my childhood friend Steph and blogger Geleen. All three of us had the fried chicken and biscuit. I had to make up the night before!

I'm sure we all heard of C.Wonder's demise. Geleen gave us the tip that all apparel at the Soho location was $15! So after brunch, we high-tailed it over there and managed to nab a few items.

Next Stop: BirchBox Soho. My friend and I partook in the 'build your own box'. For $16, we selected 5 samples, one of them being a full-size tube of hand cream. That was worth it alone!

Snack Time! Made a pit stop for cereal milk soft serve (even though it was freezing out!) at Milk Bar Soho. I also threw in a few cookies and birthday cake truffle for the road. And that's my friend Steph, who I have known since first grade!

Steph introduced me to A.P.C. I love the simplicity of the pieces. I could definitely wear everything in the store.

When Dan and I were in Hong Kong, he became obsessed with the brand A Bathing Ape. So it was funny that as Steph and I strolled through Soho, we randomly stumbled upon the store! It's the only location in the US. Dan was bummed he missed out on this…

All good things must come to an end.....but not without a little bit of snow!

BUT before I leave you, just one last plug. My friends and had dinner at bar chuko in Brooklyn. We pretty much ordered everything from the menu. My main entree was the ground pork rice bowl (with a fried egg!). I highly recommend the rice cakes. It was like a japanese lasagna. I know, weird, but it was soooo tasty!!! Ok, now I'm hungry.....
