I Love Nashville If you were plugged into my Instagram account or Snapchat (trendyonabudget) this past weekend, you already know I was down South in Nashville for my sis-in-law's bachelorette party #LeahsNashBash. We ate, drank, and danced our way through Nashville. We even squeezed in a quick workout (you'll see what I mean). Here are a few of the highlights from our weekend away! First order of business: buy cowboy boots. Let me tell you, there is no shortage of boots here! I decided to go with a low key pair (seen in previous pic to the far right) from Boot Country. We kicked off Friday night with dinner at Pinewood Social. The MOH booked us a private room and customized the menu for this special occasion. I wanted EVERYTHING off this menu! So I went with the cavatelli. It was heaven in a bowl and I didn't want it to end. Not pictured here was the huckleberry pie. While at Pinewood Social, one can dine, bowl, lounge or go for a dip. We actually ended up talking to a guy who went for a dip while waiting for his dinner ressie. After dinner, we headed to the the Whitehorse Saloon for some live music and line dancing. Let me tell you, peeps were taking their line dancing quite seriously! After learning the Southern shuffle, we decided to move on out. That's when we landed at Tootsies for more live music. We finally called it quits at 3AM (this is VERY late for me!). These girls keep me young. The next morning, we made our way to Saint Anejo for brunch. I absolutely loved the decor and set up. Any place that has Chicken N Waffles is A-OK in my books. This was the fuel I needed before our day's activity. Remember when I said we squeezed in a workout? Here I present to you the Sip N Cycle, a bicycle powered bar on wheels. I'm telling you right now: you DO have to peddle. There were a few times where we literally stopped in an intersection because nobody was pedaling. I felt like I was in a spin class! Fun Fact: The person steering this monstrosity worked at the Bluebird Cafe and was an extra on Nashville, the TV show! Later that evening, We dined at Puckett's before heading out for the night. Luckily, I picked a seat next to another gal who loves food just as much as I do. We went halfsies on chicken fried chicken and short-rib mac n cheese. Thanks Lucy!! After dinner, we found our way back to Broadway and hit up Acme Seed & Feed. We walked up the many flights of stairs to the rooftop and from there, we had a clear view of Broadway. It's so pretty lit up! Later on in the evening we ended up at Wanna B's. What bach party would be complete without a round of karaoke? We ended on a high note (literally) and headed home. Our last meal together was at The Southern. Get this girl some gumbo! With a few hours to kill, we decided to get in some Nashville culture. Hello, Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum. T Swift's outfits from The Red Tour! The King's all gold piano. Sadly, all good things must come to an end. Nashville, you've been good to us. Until next time!
