Exaggerated
As much as Dan and I love spending time together, neither one of us ever really mind an occasional weekend or two away from each other. Distance makes the heart grow fonder, right? So when the opportunity for a girl's weekend to Chatham arose, I seized the chance. It actually worked out quite well, as Dan had a guys weekend planned. I packed up my Mini with Bentley in tow and drove straight to the Cape.
It was great spending time and catching up with my girls Ashley & Steph. We all became friends through marriage. That is, they are both married to Dan's high school buddies. Bentley also got in some TLC with his little lady, Gracie. The weekend was filled with strolling up and down Main street, popping in and out of the best little shops and munching on snacks along the way. On Saturday evening (the only night I was there), we got dolled up and headed to Wequassett Resort for some drinks and dinner by the water. We indulged in some majorly delicious seafood. And thank god I had on a shift dress or my growing food belly would have been an issue.
In a town where prep rules, an exaggerated animal print dress stands out just slightly. I think the lilac toned done the wild a bit, don't you? But really, it was the perfect outfit for a girls-only-no-boys-allowed evening. It was also perfect because Dan wasn't around. He doesn't understand why I don't wear tighter clothes. Men.
