Customize, Please!
Early on in my blogging career, I had the opportunity to partner with eShakti - a clothing company that allows you to customize designs that fit your style. They offer standard sizes, too. At the time, I opted for a jacket. I figured, a jacket is pretty low risk if I miss a measurement here or there. I loved my jacket. So this time around, I figured I should go all in and really customize a design. And with the holiday party season on the horizon, this was my opportunity to pick out a fun number to don at these parties. I scoured the site and I was immediately drawn to this emerald green elephant jacquard dress. The neckline, the flared skirt, the low v-neck back = perfection. With a little help from the hubs, I took my own measurements. The guide provided on the website is super helpful, instructing a shopper on where to take the exact measurements. So after checking and re-checking my measurements (just to be sure!), I thought I was done. But no, there's more! I had the option to choose a different neckline than what was shown on the model, as well as the sleeve type and length options. After going through all those options, I submitted my order.
Exactly two weeks after I submitted my order, my customized dress arrived. It is definitely a beauty. But the true test is, will it fit? I slipped the dress on. Zipped it up. Low and behold, it fit! I guess the hubs and I make a great measuring team. A future in the tailoring business, perhaps?
I am really looking forward to taking this dress out for a spin. If you are looking for some holiday party looks, definitely give eShakti a perusal. Christmas/Hannukah and New Year's Eve is just around the corner!
