Crossover
If you raid my closet, you'll notice that I have amassed a large collection of button-down shirts. There's a mix of work and play in that collection, some working overtime as both. So it should come as no surprise that I have added yet another one to my wardrobe.
You see, from the front, it looks like any traditional perfectly white button-down (business up front). Until you check out my backside and see the crossover detail (party in the back). I love finding classic pieces with an added twist, giving an outfit just a bit of oomph. Same goes for these LBS (little black shorts). The scalloped edge gives them a touch of femininity, balancing perfectly against the crisp lines of the top. And I couldn't leave this black and white outfit without another twist (literally). A pop of color with these cute lace up sandals, which I wore all weekend long. This simple outfit definitely packs a punch thanks to all the details. It's always worth picking up staples with an added twist to keep your wardrobe up to date.
Outfit Details:
Sunglasses: Westward Leaning (old-part of a ShopBop sale). Here's a very similar version by Westward Leaning, $185.
Crossover Back Shirt: Halogen via Nordstrom, $27.30 (sale). This is definitely a steal since I purchased mine at $49!
Scalloped Shorts: Loft, $49.50. They are 50% off, no code needed!
Sandals: c/o M.Gemi (the nautico). Use code linda201 (lowercase L) and save $40 on this or any other first pair from the site. If this is a bit out of your budget, you may want to check out the braided gladiator lace up sandal from Soludos, $99 or this pair from TopShop, $21.99.
Mini Pashli: 3.1Phillip Lim via Nordstrom half yearly sale, $509.98 (originally $850). This was a #treatyoselfmoment. Keep an eye on these for the upcoming Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. In the meantime, I found a similar one in silver/black/white on sale, $595.
