Black + Metal

Between my last post and this post, I think I have hit both ends of the colorful spectrum. Last Friday, I met up with a few girlfriends for dinner at Stella in the South End to celebrate a birthday. An all black pairing of a peplum top and skinny jeans fit the bill: simple yet chic. A few mandatory metallic accessories gave my outfit the right amount of flash and glimmer. My choice to go with an all black ensemble was more of a strategic choice than a fashion one. Yes, I checked out the menu at around 10AM that morning and selected my meal: rigatoni bolognese. Splatters anyone? Not that anyone could see! Per usual, I ate way too much, but the peplum covered that food baby right up. Fashion and function, just what a girl like me needs!

Rings: The gold bands are my parents', and have spent years in my mom's jewelry box. She got them sized and then gave them to me. I wear them pretty much everyday. The midi ring is a recent pick up from Bauble Bar (got to pay with my vault points!), $20.
