Bali Nights

Springtime in New England can be a confusing time of year. One day I'm in shorts and the next I'm digging out my scarf and gloves. Equally confusing are my outfits. By now, I would have imagined myself breaking out all things flowy, bright, bold and printed. Perhaps bearing more skin. Instead, I've been covering myself up and gravitating towards a simple color palette of black and gray. This past weekend wasn't any different. However, the temp was just warm enough to go tight/legging-less. Sticking with the simple palette, I pulled this tank mini-dress. What I lacked in color, I made up in print! I must say, the black and white combo is one of my faves; it's classic and is not confined by seasons. What are some of your season defying styles?

Sunglasses: MarcbyMarc Jacobs (MMJ 293/2) from Bloomingdale's Outlet, $26.49! I miraculously found these in a tray of super clearance sunglasses. Although not as marked down, this exact pair is on sale at Solstice for $89.

Tank Mini Dress: Reverse Bali Dress from Pretty Reckless, $65. I had won a $50 gift certificate from Boutikey at event hosted by Pretty Reckless, which put a dent on this cute little number. This dress is also available at Swell, $59.

Black Denim Jacket: Joe's Jeans from Marshalls, $39 (clearance). In the same price range at $34.95 is this denim jacket from H&M.

Beaded Necklace: Ku De Ta. This was a bday gift a few years ago from my bestie! For you, here is something similar: Forever21 Worldly Layered Beaded Necklace, $8.80.

Bracelets: (1) Textured Cuff Bracelet: Loft, $4! and (2) Bauble Bar, $38. This is no longer available but I do adore the Asymmetric Silho Cuff Bracelet, also from Bauble bar, $28.

Caged Sandals: Nine West Outlet, $20 (a few summers ago). I'm loving these updated sandals from Nine West: (1) Fenwick Caged Gladiator Sandals, $69; (2) Voli Gladiator Sandals, $69; and (3) Peanut Gladiator Sandals, $49.99 (sale).
