Trendy On A Budget

Looking good shouldn't cost that much!

Trail Blazer Part II

trail blazer part IIIn most of my blog posts, I usually stress the importance of stretching your hard earned money when it comes to your wardrobe and to always think about cost per wear. I spend five days a week in office wear, which means that I am always looking to find things that have can double up for work and play. So instead of just talking about it, I decided to put my words into action. Here, I remixed my Loft Floral Vines Print Blazer (worn here for work) with basic items already in my closet for play. It was a rainy play-day, hence the trench and jelly belly colored wellies. Outfit Details:

Floral Vines Print Blazer: Loft, $29.99. I got this in-store while there was an additional % off promotion. This blazer is no longer available online but may be found in-stores. It is on sale for $74.88. Keep an eye out for in-store promotions.

Burnout T: Gap, $7.99.

Necklace: Bauble Bar (mongol warrior pendant), $19 (retail $34).

Bracelets: (1) Jackies, $19. I was in Chatham over the summer with some girlfriends and we all decided to buy the same bracelet as our friendship bracelets. Still wearing mine! For something similar: Capwell: Mixed Bead and Tassel Stretch Bracelet, $28; (2) Evil Eye Bracelet was a pick up in the markets within the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem, $55. Check out Jewel Be Mine and its version of the evil eye bracelet, $15.

Rings: (1) The ‘R’ initial ring is from Lou Lou, $10. This ring is not available online. As an alternative, I found this alphabet ring on Etsy, $17; (2) Trio of gold stackable rings by gorjana-griffin from Rue La La, $29.90. I recommend taking a look at the rose gold 18K plated braid ring by tawnieandbrina on Etsy, $18 each. Check back often for the gold version.

Jeans: Gap, $gift. My mom got me these last Christmas. I love Gap’s 1969 legging jeans. So affordable and comfy. Use promo code GAPFRIENDS and save 35% off during Gap’s Friends and Family event. Also valid in-stores.

Tote: Longchamp (LM Metal), $145. This was a pick up at the duty free shop in Hong Kong on my way home last October.

Trench: Calvin Klein from Bloomingdales, $120. I purchased this during a Friends & Family event last year. It’s currently on sale for $153.30.

Wellies: Hunter from Lord & Taylor $80-ish. Another oldie but goodie, I purchased my wellies during an L&T F&F event a few years ago. With the holiday season looming, there most likely will be another F&F event. So hold out for the additional savings!
