Trendy On A Budget

Looking good shouldn't cost that much!

Spring Florals & Summer Stripes

gap_old navy_botkierI enjoy no to low commitment weekends, especially on a sunny and clear day like today. Started my morning off with a high energy zumba class, picked up my little yorkie from the dog groomer, fixed myself a cup of coffee and planned my day. Knowing that the rest of the day will be filled with running errands, I was strategic in picking my outfit.

I am a big fan of Gap’s 1969 legging jeans; they are extremely comfy with a lot of stretch. I had been stalking these floral skimmers for a while and it paid off (picked it up on the super sale rack!). I balanced this look with a white T, while working a side tuck, a colorful handbag and simple gold jewelry. I chose a pair of coral striped summer espadrilles because I love mixing print with print. Just make sure not to overdo it!

Finishing my lunch then it’s off to the salon to get my nails did. Tough day, huh? #firstworldproblems.

Bracelets:  (1) Spikes Bangle, Alex and Ani, Gift; (2) Spike Cuff, Aqua from Bloomingdale’s, $21. Jewels by Dunn carries a similar spike cuff for $38; (3) Orange Cord Bracelet was purchased at an open market on a trip to Toronto. I found a boutique on Etsy that makes corded bracelets; (4) Gold bracelet with light blue gems was purchased from a local jewelry shop in Woodstock, VT during its going out of business sale. Lucky for me, that meant 40% off the original price ($125). For a more affordable version of this bangle, check out Lastcall.com for this hammered gold bangle with two turquoise cabachon on sale for $17.50!

Gold trio stackable rings: Gorjana-Griffin from Rue La La, $29.90. Through 5/10, use code people25 for 25% off your full price purchase at Gorjana-Griffin. Great selection of stackable rings.
