When in doubt, pick a dress! Are you sensing a pattern with my outfit choices for work? This is one of my faves. The simplicity of this navy dress is amped up by the allover key print and a hint of gold hardware. The cinched waist and ruffled neckline adds texture and shape, while being work appropriate (hem hits the knees, neckline is not revealing with cap sleeves).

Probably after a few more posts, you will come to see that I have a slight obsession with anything skull and cross bone related. I don’t know what it is, but I just like the way it looks printed on clothing or incorporated into jewelry. Even thought it’s spring time and most people are sporting their neons and florals, I decided to go for a mostly black look. Can’t go wrong with black, right?
I am a big fan of consignment shopping. It’s a fiscally responsible and economic way to build your wardrobe without spending a lot of money. Going into a consignment store can be overwhelming and you gotta be in the right mood to riffle through racks to find that hidden gem. For my local readers, my favorite consignment store is Closet Connection located right in South Boston. The store is neatly organized and the owners are super nice and has a no-pressure sales approach. This definitely makes the shopping experience a lot less overwhelming. The best part is, if you have an account it’s like getting new duds for free!
