Trendy On A Budget

Looking good shouldn't cost that much!

Ocean City, NJ

Ocean City Boardwalk
Last Friday, I hopped on a plan and was Philly-bound (and eventually Jersey-bound) to meet up with Dan and our friends. At around 3PM, Dan texted me and told me that we were going to have a fantastic dinner. I immediately asked if we were going to Geno’s. When Dan answered “yes”, it was music to my ears. You see, I have always wanted a real Philly cheesesteak and my dream was becoming a reality in a mere few hours. That was just one of the many highlights of my weekend in Philly/Ocean City, NJ. Here are the rest of them…….

Processed with VSCOcam with f2 presetSaturday was a bit overcast, so it was a pool day. I laid in this mini cabana and read “Beautiful Ruins“. (Sunglasses: WestwardLeaning; Bikini Top: Old Navy; Bikini Bottom: Target (old))

LobstersAnd for dinner we had a lobster bake!

After dinner, we ate our way down the Ocean City Boardwalk. Fried oreos, check! Custard, check! And caramel popcorn, check! We also got a round of mini golf in. I came in dead last. (Chambray Top: Loft; Shorts: MMCouture via Ku De Ta (old); Bag: PhilipLim for Target (old); Sandals: Aqua (old))

Processed with VSCOcam with f2 presetSunday was the perfect beach day. We got to Huntington Ave Beach in Margate City early enough to pick a good spot.

Enjoyed seeing the NJ love especially the SHORE!- tho’ I’m never one to say “Jersey” but that’s because I was born & raised there and more often than not we didn’t abbreviate it. Check out my post on it.

I was also reliving my Geno’s moment. My cousin lives in Philly – has for over 15 years and only 2 years ago did I finally try the authentic cheese steak – tho’ I’m a ‘wout. The provolone and pickle relish YUM!
Great pics and props to NJ – thanks!

I gotta get my lingo straight! Had so much on the SHORE 😉 I’m pretty certain I’d like all the cheesesteaks at Geno’s. I’d love one right now! Thanks for stopping by!
