Trendy On A Budget

Looking good shouldn't cost that much!

Good As Gold

bashstudioWho: Kathryn Y.
Age: Thirty-something
Spotted: At Neatly Nested‘s Birthday Bash celebrating their 1st year in business.
Resident of: Boston, MA
Occupation: Event designer & curator of experiences behind Bash Studio. In fact, she she was the creative mind behind this amazing event. From the hundreds of jewel-toned balloons that were strategically placed to create an ombre effect floating above the party-goers, to the gold-fringed photo-booth and floral arrangements, down to the savory hors d’oeuvres (catered by Shinding), every detail worked together to create a celebratory atmosphere. The rain couldn’t dampen our moods! And there was a live DJ to boot! Kudos on a fab party, Kathryn!

Outfit Details:

A very simple yet elegant look with the classic black and gold combination. Perfect for a birthday bash!

Lace Top: Theory from Wrentham Outlets, $$50-ish. Similar: H&M Lace Top, $17.95.

Gold Pleated Skirt: Trina Turk from Nordstrom Rack, $67.97. Similar: H&M Pleated Skirt, $49.95.

Bangles: (1) Black & Gold: Kate Spade Hole Punch bangle, gift. Head on over to Kate Spade and browse all her pretty bangles; (2) Gold Bangles: Madewell, on sale.

Pumps: Tahari (Nadia) from TJMaxx/Marshalls. This is an oldie (8 years!), but goodie. Love how Kathryn mixed in texture with her faux snake/croc skin pumps into the outfit! To take it up a notch, add a pop of pink with these hot pink textured pumps from Steve Madden, $129.95.
