What is up with this ridiculously cold weather? It’s mid-May and my black tights are still on stand-by. Since being home from India, there’s only been one day where it was warm enough to bare my legs. Free the legs! Sadly, that was short lived as I was back at it with my black tights literally the next day. Whomp, whomp.

While on my flight to Cali this past May, I read a magazine article about a company called Amour Vert (“Green Love” en francais). Amour Vert is committed to making great clothing with a design philosophy that promotes zero waste. Think non-toxic dyes, efficient use of fabric and carpooling fabrics with local businesses. On top of this, they pledge to plant a tree in North America for every Amour Vert T-shirt purchased. How impressive is that? After reading the article, I started thinking. What kind of carbon footprint am I leaving behind due to my fashion whims?
