The Brimfield Experience

Finally, I made it to the Brimfield Antique Show! After years of enviously hearing about other people’s trips to the show and all the great pics on IG, I decided that it was time I put this event on my calendar. So, this past Saturday, my friend Steph G and I jumped into my Mini and headed to the antique show where we met up with my friend Steph W, who drove in from Brooklyn. We spent about 4.5 hours browsing the varied wares offered by hundreds of vendors; definitely something for everyone. I think I spent half of the time there asking: “what is this” or “what does that do?” Luckily the vendors didn’t seem too annoyed with me as I’m sure they get those same questions all day long. And the furniture! So many pieces I wanted to bring home but because Dan and I live in a 725 square foot condo and I drive a Mini, I could only dream about where they could go if we had more space. Anyhow, here are a few snaps from my day trip to the show. You bet I’ll be going back for more!

Weekend in the Berkshires

Processed with VSCOcam with f2 preset

Last weekend, my hometown crew and I decided to get away for the weekend (with two hubbies in tow). We picked the Berkshires, as it was perfectly halfway between Boston and New York. There was not much on the agenda, just a whole lot of hanging and catching up. Last Friday, the Boston crew piled into the car and off we went! Major props to Dan for picking the amazing place we called home for two nights. So here is my weekend, as summarized in a few snaps.

My Weekend in Brooklyn & NYC

NYC Plane View

Two weekends ago, Dan and I took a mini-trip to New York. On this particular trip, Dan and I parted ways. He to the UES and I to Brooklyn. But each night, we would gather with our friends for dinner. We kicked off the weekend on a high note with dinner at Birds & Bubbles. I couldn’t join in on the bucket of fried chicken fun (oh, Lent), but the sides were ah-mazing! So here goes a quick re-cap of key highlights from my weekend.

Journey of a Dress

colorfulTwo weeks ago, I found myself in LA. At the top of my list of things ‘to-do’ next to lunching at the Ivy, was to pay a visit to the Journey of a Dress exhibit at LACMA. My fiance had no interest in going, which was fine, since I do enjoy museum-ing on my own. With no one to answer to, I took my sweet time looking at each and every wrap dress. 40 years of dresses, to be exact. The exhibit was colorful, whimsical and full of print! The related artwork was pretty amazing, as well.

Jersey in Jerusalem

banana republic outlet_bauble barOne of my favorite items this summer are all things maxi; dress and skirt. The fit and ease of one makes it a go-to staple for the summer. Not to mention its versatility; it can easily be dressed up or kept casual, based on how you accessorize. Naturally, I had to pack my black jersey maxi for the trip to the land of milk and honey. The best part about this dress is that even though it was squished in my luggage, it did not wrinkle one bit!
