Journey of a Dress

colorfulTwo weeks ago, I found myself in LA. At the top of my list of things ‘to-do’ next to lunching at the Ivy, was to pay a visit to the Journey of a Dress exhibit at LACMA. My fiance had no interest in going, which was fine, since I do enjoy museum-ing on my own. With no one to answer to, I took my sweet time looking at each and every wrap dress. 40 years of dresses, to be exact. The exhibit was colorful, whimsical and full of print! The related artwork was pretty amazing, as well.

Jersey in Jerusalem

banana republic outlet_bauble barOne of my favorite items this summer are all things maxi; dress and skirt. The fit and ease of one makes it a go-to staple for the summer. Not to mention its versatility; it can easily be dressed up or kept casual, based on how you accessorize. Naturally, I had to pack my black jersey maxi for the trip to the land of milk and honey. The best part about this dress is that even though it was squished in my luggage, it did not wrinkle one bit!

Skirtin’ Around Haifa

madewell_gapWishing I was still in Israel, but it’s back to reality! I’ll at least get to re-live some parts of it through my next few posts. One of the stops along our tour of Israel was Haifa. It was one of the most relaxing parts of the trip, as our stay spanned over Shabbat (day of rest). So our days were spent strolling through town and hanging by the hotel pool. We stayed at The Dan Carmel Haifa, which is located on Mt. Carmel, providing a great view of the city.

Rewind: Iceland

icelandNow that I am back into the swing of things since my return from Iceland, I figured I would give you an update on my short stint in Reyjavik; what I did, what I wore, etc. My weekend trip was to surprise a dear friend for her big 3-0! She was completely shocked when she woke up to her sister and me chilling in the sick apartment her husband rented for us. The apartment was full of interesting pieces of art, as you will see in some of my pics below.
