Trendy On A Budget

Looking good shouldn't cost that much!

Blogger’s First Romper

Warby Parker_Loft_Sam Edelman_coverI don’t know how I’ve gone this long without having worn a romper until now! Threw one on and I was out the door in minutes. Definitely took the guess work out of putting an outfit together. It was the perfect casual weekend uniform that kept me comfy while meeting my friend to design the wedding invitations, a dinner date with the mister and a movie (The Amazing Spider Man – 2, if you were wondering). It cooled down a bit in the evening, but nothing a light cardi couldn’t solve.

I do have one gripe with the adult onesie: trips to the ladies room. It’s kinda funny having to completely disrobe in order to get to business. So I had to plan my trips accordingly. What are your thoughts on this romper trend? Yay or Nay?

Hope you are all enjoying your Memorial Day weekend. Have fun and stay safe!

Outfit Details:

Sunglasses: Warby Parker + Suno (limited edition), Gift from friend. You can shop the Thatcher style in other colors. Sunglasses start at $95; how could you go wrong?

Paisley Romper: Loft, $79.50 / paid $31.80. I purchased my first romper during an insane 50% off sale and got an additional discount for my hosting duties! Right now, use code MUSTSHOP to save 40%.

Druze Necklace: Loft, $9.99. I found this in a bin full of super marked down necklaces. Unfortunately, it is no longer available. For something similar, I’d recommend the multi strand tassel necklace from Loft, $39.95. Use code MUSTSHOP and save 40%.

Bangles: (1) Alex and Ani and (2) ‘R’ Initial Bangle: Statement Boutique, $59. This was a gift from the mister. Getting myself used to my soon to be new initial.

Studded Sandals: Sam Edelman from Marshalls, $29 (last summer). The closest pair I could find are the Sam Edelman Ginger sandals from Bloomingdale’s, $70 (sale).

You look so cute in a romper! That bathroom thing is one of the reasons I have yet to wear one yet 😉

This is so cute! The pattern/colors make it look grown up but the fact that it’s a romper make it look fun. I didn’t even think of the going to the bathroom issue, haha! I still fear rompers on account of my larger lower half lol! Great post girl!

Thanks El! I know, the bathroom thing is a bit of a pain in the butt! Give them a try, you never know!

Hi Linda! Found your blog through Instagram. I love the romper on you. I am a fellow 30 something (newbie) blogger (focused on budget friendly fashion as well) and I sometimes feel I am too “old” to wear rompers too. However, yours is very cute and age appropriate! However, I have not bought a romper because of the bathroom issue!!! 🙂

Hi Cheresa! Thank you for visiting the blog! and welcome to the fashion blogging world 🙂

the romper is a tricky thing. just try on a few until you find the right one. but yes, the whole bathroom thing is a bit of a pain. there must be a solution somewhere out there!
